ADA-Indiana consists of an identified group of regularly-attending Steering Committee Members who meet monthly. Their charge is to:
ADA-Indiana meets several times throughout the year, either in-person or by conference call. If you would like to attend or participate in a meeting, please contact us for the meeting details.
ADA-Indiana was instituted in 1991, when the National Institute of Disability and REhabilitation Research funded ten regional centers, the ADA National Network, to provide technical assistance to businesses and governmental agencies around the implementation of the ADA. Indiana became part of the six-state Great Lakes ADA Center, coordinated by the University of Illinois at Chicago.
ADA-Indiana is guided by volunteer board members, referred to as the Steering Committee members. ADA-Indiana leadership includes an elected Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, and Past Chair.
ada-Indiana is funded by the Indiana Governor's Council for People with Disabilities and the Great Lakes ADA Center.
