The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a civil rights law that enhances equal opportunity for people with disabilities. In this session, two members of the ADA National Network will provide an overview of the physical access requirements for different types of health care facilities.
Physical access elements addressed will include: 1) general ADA requirements; 2) parking, passenger loading zones and drive-thru medical testing; 3) building and office accessibility; 4) accessible exam rooms and waiting areas; and 5) accessible medical diagnostic equipment.
