The ADA National Network released a new research brief, "Higher Education and the ADA." The brief provides an overview of the application of the Americans with Disabilities Act to higher education. The authors of the brief, Dr. Rob Gould and Dr. Sarah Harris Parker, focus on four areas including transition from high school to college, disability services in postsecondary setting, accommodations and Universal Design, and the use of technology.
About the ADA National Network
The ADA National Network provides free information, technical assistance, and training on the Americans with Disabilities Act in order to support the mission of the ADA to “assure equality of opportunity, full participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency for individuals with disabilities.” There are 10 regional ADA center. The Great Lakes ADA Center, located in Chicago, serves the state of Indiana as part of their region.
