The Great Lakes ADA Center and other members of the ADA National Network provide several webinar series that are available at no cost.
Most sessions are 90 minutes in duration. Each session features a national expert on the topic. The guest speaker will generally present for 60 minutes followed by a 30-minute question and answer period.
The webinars are delivered using the accessible webinar platform, Blackboard Collaborate. Continuing education credits are available for most sessions, ranging from a certificate of attendance to professional CE credits for architects, human resource professionals, and others.
AccessibilityOnline Webinar Series
The AccessibilityOnline webinar series is a joint venture between the ADA National Network and the U.S. Access Board and covers accessibility to the built environment, information and communication technologies, and transportation. Throughout the year, there are generally several sessions on the technical requirements for the ADA Standards. The series is coordinated by the Great Lakes ADA Center.
ADA Legal Issues Webinar Series
The ADA Legal Issues Webinar Series is meant to provide more advanced training on legal issues and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The series is coordinated by the Great Lakes and Southwest ADA Centers.
Accessible Technology Webinar Series
The Accessible Technology Webinar series is coordinated by the Great Lakes ADA Center. This webinar series focuses on accessibility issues in technology ranging from web accessibility to other emergent topics such as mobile apps, videos, and more.
Emergency Preparedness Webinar Series
The Emergency Preparedness webinar series is a collaboration of the Pacific ADA Center and the ADA National Network. The series covers various topics around emergency management and preparedness and disability inclusion.
Health Care and the ADA Webinar Series
The Health Care and ADA webinar series is a collaboration of the Pacific ADA Center and the ADA National Network. The series covers various topics around access to health care such as phyical accesibility, communication issues, and how the ADA applies to emerging issues such as the opioid addiction.
Other Online Training Opportunities
Other organizations such as the Job Accommodation Network, the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center, and others will periodically host webinar sessions related to the ADA.
